Itinerary (Day Wise)
Begin your journey from Dehradun with a scenic drive to Guptkashi. On Day 2, travel to Kedarnath via trek or helicopter from Phata, Sersi, or Gaurikund for darshan at the sacred shrine. The next day, return and head to Chopta for an overnight stay. On Day 4, enjoy a beautiful trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila, then continue to Pipalkoti. Visit Badrinath Temple on Day 5 and return to Pipalkoti the same day. Conclude your spiritual and adventurous trip with a return drive to Dehradun.
Day 1
Dehradun – Guptkashi ( Drive – 230 Km/ 08 hr approx. )
Arrive early at Dehradun airport before 0900 hrs so that you can start timely for Guptkashi, en-route visit Ardhnarishwar Temple. Post-darshan continue drive for a night stay.
Day 2
Guptkashi/ Phata/Sersi/Gaurikund (Flight/trek) – Kedarnath (Trek 17 Kms/Helicopter ride – 10 mins)
Start timely for Kedarnath if helicopter is booked. (as per helicopter slot), the vehicle will drop at the respective helipad from where the ride is booked. Or if opt for Trek then proceed early morning around at 0430/0500 hrs to start your journey on the zigzag and well-laid trail to Kedarnath, you can avail the services of pony/palki/palanquins. On arrival, proceed to the holy Darshan of Kedarnath Temple. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.
"Kedarnath Dham is one of the pre-eminent divine temple of Lord Shiva. Temple is situated in a breath-taking location, near the source of Mandakini River. Kedarnath temple is highest located among the 12 Jyotirlingas and is also the most important temple among the Panch Kedars (the group of five Shiva temples in Garhwal Himalayas)."
Day 3
Kedarnath – Gaurikund/Phata/Sersi (Trek/Helicopter) Gaurikund/Phata/Sersi – Chopta (70 Kms/3 hrs approx)
Start timely to reach on time to basecamp. Upon arrival at Gaurikund, hire the local jeep back for Sonprayag. Later proceed drive to Chopta, on arrival check in at campsite for overnight.
Day 4
Tungnath/Chandrashila trek (Trek 4 Km one way) Chopta – Pipalkoti (70 Km/ 03 hr approx)
Early morning trek to Tungnath through dense forest and enticing meadows, it is a 3 km trek. Tungnath is situated at a height of 3680mts above sea level. After resting for a while, you can head for (moonstone) Chandrashila peak which is 1 km ahead. The summit offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding & magnificent wide view of the snow-capped Himalayas. Later drive to Pipalkoti, on arrival check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5
Pipalkoti – Badrinath - Pipalkoti (80 Km/ 03 hr approx one way)
After breakfast proceed drive to Badrinath. Today Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund get blessed with divine darshan of Badrivishal. Brahmakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). Post darshan visit Mana village where you can spot Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River. Later drive back to Pipalkoti with stopover at Joshimath to pay homage to Winter home of Badrinath in Narsingh Temple. Today enroute Vishnuprayag can be done. On arrival check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6
Pipalkoti – Dehradun (Drive- 260 Km/ 08 hr approx)
After breakfast proceed drive to Dehradun via Nandaprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag & Devprayag. En-route pay your offering to Dhari Devi temple in Srinagar, later continue drive to Dehradun to connect for onward destination.
