Itinerary (Day Wise)

Begin your spiritual adventure with a scenic drive from Dehradun/Haridwar to Jankichatti, the base for Yamunotri. On Day 2, embark on a sacred 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple, the origin of River Yamuna, and then proceed to Uttarkashi, the gateway to Gangotri. On Day 3, visit the revered Gangotri Temple, the birthplace of River Ganga. Continue with a breathtaking 13 km trek to Bhojwasa, followed by a short but divine trek to Gaumukh Glacier, the actual source of the Ganga. After returning to Bhojwasa and descending to Gangotri, drive to the serene hamlet of Harsil. Conclude your journey on Day 7 with a peaceful drive back to Dehradun or Haridwar, spiritually uplifted and deeply connected to nature.

Day 1

Dehradun/Haridwar – Jankichatti (Drive - 210 Km/ 09 hrs approx. )

Morning start early around 6-7 hrs from Haridwar railway station/Dehradun Airport followed by

direct drive to Jankichatti via Barkot. On arrival check into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2

Jankichatti - Yamunotri(Trek- 6 Km-one way) & Jankichatti – Uttarkashi (Drive back – 130 Km approx./5 hrs approx)

Early morning proceeds for 6 Km trek to Yamunotri. Once you reach, take bath in Surya kund (Hot spring) & pay your homage at Divyashila, a rock pillar, worshipped before entering temple, followed by darshan of Yamunotri ji; seek the blessings of Goddess Yamuna Ji. After paying homage, trek back to Jankichatti. From here, you will be driven directly to Uttarkashi. Dinner & overnight stay in the hotel.


‘’Yamunotri is sacred place as the origin place of The River Yamuna. One of four sacred pilgrims of Uttarakhand. It is located at north of Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand. The temple was built by Amar Singh Thapa, Gurkha general in 18th century. Later the temple was damaged & renovated by Maharani Guleria of Jaipur in the 19th century. The source of Yamuna River lies in the Yamunotri Glacier which is at a height of 6,387 metres (20,955 ft) near the Bandarpunch peaks.’’

Day 3

Uttarkashi – Gangotri (Drive – 100 Kms/3 hrs approx.)

Morning start drive towards Gangotri. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel (Standard check in at 1200 hrs early check in will be subject to availability). Later proceed for holy darshan after taking a holy dip in the river Ganges & offer prayer to the Goddess Ganges, near to the temple spot the 02 revered places – Suryakund & Submerged Shivling. Evening attend Ganga Aarti, overnight at the hotel. (Breakfast & Dinner included).

Day 4

Gangotri – Bhojwasa (Trek – 13 Kms/ 8 -9 hrs approx.)

Start early from Gangotri to reach Bhojwasa on time via Chirbasa. It is gradual uphill climb on well laid trail through the forest & terrains along with river flowing on one side. Night halt at Ashram/GMVN.

Day 5

Bhojwasa – Gaumukh (Trek – 4 Km & 2 hrs approx.) & trek back to Bhojwasa

Today will bit strenuous as you will encounter steep climb on rugged terrain along with some downhill rocky pathways. The trail goes on through the steep ascending surface and descending rough trails. You will reach Gaumukh glacier in approx. 2 – 3 hrs. After spending some time return back to Bhojwasa for overnight halt.

Day 6

Bhojwasa - Gangotri (Trek 6 – 7 hrs approx) Gangotri – Harsil (Drive – 30 Kms/01 hrs approx)

Early morning commence trek back to Gangotri. On arrival directly proceed for divine darshan of

Goddess Ganges. After darshan proceeds drive to Harsil for overnight stay. (Breakfast & Dinner included).


‘’The holy Gangotri temple is located at this sacred town. It is believed that at this place River Ganges descended on the earth after severe penance of King Bhagirathi. The Gangotri Temple was built by the Gurkha general Amar Singh Thapa in early 18th century. The Ganges originates from Gaumakh which is accessible after 19 Kms trek from Gangotri. During winters temple remain inaccessible due to heavy snowfall so statue of Goddess Ganges is brought down to Mukhba, a small village in Harsil which lies on the way to the Gangotri Shrine.’’

Day 7

Harsil – Dehradun/Haridwar ( Drive- 280 Km/9 hr approx. )

Enjoy refreshing morning at Harsil which is unspoilt hill station. Spend some relaxing moment to explore the Harsil valley. Later you will be provided on-time departure to connect for onward destination.
